Mid-October Fulfillment Update

Hello Everyone! I hope you’re all safe and healthy during this spooky time. I’ve been working as hard as I can to get the remaining vaults all complete and sent out, and wanted to give the final wave of backers an update regarding the currently projected timeline.

Currently, I’m producing somewhere between 6-8 vaults daily in the few hours I get each day to work on this around my day job, and around double that on each weekend day. That puts me on track, with all luck, working around the clock, to have all the vaults produced and ready for packing by the end of the month, and shipped (hopefully) before November. That’s a full month delay, and I know that really dampens the excitement for this project to get over the finish line, but the continuing stress of managing this project while COVID spreads around the world, compounded with stressors from my personal life and isolation, has really taken a toll. I never thought things would get this bad, and I’m sorry for any delays.

At this point all the dice sets are complete save for inking, which I do while robots are running with drills and lasers, and the completion and personalization of around 83 vaults. After that, we’re all packed and ready to ship. Your addresses have been locked, shipping is paid for, all I need is the final bits of finished product.

Just a quick reminder to check if your order requires proofing to be finalized!
PLEASE remember to complete your proofing spreadsheet to finalize your order! I’ll be sending reminder emails over this weekend to those who are incomplete. IF YOU DO NOT COMPLETE YOUR PROOFING, I AM UNABLE TO SHIP YOUR ORDER AS YOUR PERSONAL CHOICES CANNOT BE VERIFIED. If you’ve ordered multiple vaults and have multiple personalization options, you require proofing if you have not yet done so, so please go check on your Backerkit profile.

What Comes Next?

I know we’re a couple weeks over the original timeline for fulfillment, and as each day passes I feel that much worse about missing it and delaying your vaults. Production has been cranking along as fast as I can beside my day job and family life, but once this is all over, I’m going to need a break. The original idea was to take this momentum and carry it into a second immediate Kickstarter, but 2020 has been a heavy toll of a year, and I need to get through the final push and take a long rest. Maybe in early 2021 we can think about something new 🙂

Until next time, be good to each other.

– Michael
